Baïkal

The iCloud, Google Contacts and Fruux alternative

Baïkal is a CalDAV and CardDAV server: one private address that syncs your calendars and contacts to the phone, laptop, and tablet apps you already use. It is an alternative to iCloud and Google Contacts built on the same open standards, so Apple Calendar, Thunderbird, and DAVx5 connect natively with no bridge or plugin. Your address book is a map of everyone you know, and running it on your own infrastructure keeps that map private.

Yes. Zenith has a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://zenith.hosting/mcp, so you can deploy and manage Baïkal straight from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Add the endpoint, approve the one-click connection, and ask your agent to deploy. Setup is at https://zenith.hosting/connect.
